The river rages on
The river rages on, tumbles you under, but you grab onto the buoy ๐.
Now safe, secure, you let out a sigh. ๐ฎโ๐จ You drift and drift, but eventually you start to realize that you relaxed too long. For now, you are deep into the ocean ๐, where you eventually drown in its depths and die. โ ๏ธ
This is the special situation of a human birth ๐ถ, and we are all in this ever-changing river of samsara, the cycle of birth and death. Not taking full advantage of the buoy ๐ of human life, we relax. We do not put effort into swimming to the shore. We wait and wait until we are eventually so far from our shore that we canโt even imagine trying.ย But in all cases, we must swim, for our lives. Our hearts depend on it.
